This will not be a very long post. I've had a break from school for Christmas the past few weeks and it has been great. I have enjoyed getting to spend so much time with my family. I just wanted to say a few quick words about the movie August Rush. I saw it a few weeks ago with a friend and my brother. It was incredible. I don't want to give away too much of the story line, but it is a great example of God's passionate yearning for a relationship with us and how he calls us to him with his grace. In the movie God is actually represented by the mother of August. August constantly hears the music that she plays and it draws him to want to find her. At the same time she desperately searches for him. I love how we, in our lost state before Christ, are represented by an orphan that is helpless, with a mother that searches him out with desperation. He is drawn to her by her music, as we are drawn to our Father by his beautiful grace. I think music is a great representative for grace. Its so mysterious, yet so attractive and pleasing to the ear, as grace is pleasing to the soul. It was a great movie. I promise there will be deeper posts to come. Until then, may your walk and relationship with Christ grow day by day.
